Cuidados de enfermagem í mulher na mastectomia: estratégia de educação em saúde

The aim was to analyze the perspectives of care by the nursing staff for women undergoing mastectomy. This is an exploratory-descriptive qualitative research, held in a women's Surgical Clinic university hospital. The data were collected with semi-structured interviews and field observation with 15 nursing professionals. Thematic analysis was performed. Emerged three categories: sensitive care: affective, aesthetic and subjective aspects in the perception of nursing staff; Guidelines for self-care in preoperative and postoperative periods; and Systematization of care for hospital discharge. The study demonstrated the multiple faces of care and emphasis to systematic nursing outreach, humane and sensitive, offering information, support to achieve efficiency and creation of solidarity workshop to promote the interaction between the nursing professionals and the multidisciplinary team.
