Nursing assistance to women with pre-eclampsy: integrative review

ABSTRACT
Introduction: Pre-eclampsia is the most common clinical complication of pregnancy and the main cause of morbidity and mortality. Objective: to raise the scientific evidence on nursing care for women with pre-eclampsia and eclampsia. Method: This is an integrative literature review, which gathers, evaluates and interprets findings from primary studies. Result: Primary studies were categorized in prenatal care and assertive management in the hospital setting. Conclusion: Proper management allows for a favorable maternal-fetal prognosis, therefore, its nursing performance in the face of pre-eclampsia is essential.
