Permanent education in Neonatal Screening: an integrative review

Abstract

The objective of this work was to investigate studies on education/training permanent related to neonatal screening, indicding strategies that favor futures actions related to the teme. This is a descriptive study through integrative review, conducted in August 2019, with search of the Virtual Health Library, through the terms "Triagem Neonatal", "Teste do Pezinho", "Capacitação" e "Educação em Saúde". The final sample consisted of 12 studies, being Medline the database with the highest number of articles (n=11). The most constantly studied population was nurses and mothers/fathers. Based on the data from this integrative review, the importance of implementing continuing education and training programs is ratified, addressing effective strategies to contribute to the improvement of Universal Neonatal Screening.
