Formação de graduandos da área da saúde em infecção comunitária

The aim of this study was to describe the training of undergraduates from the health area in community infection. Qualitative research was carried out with 157 health graduates in 2014. Were used structured interviews, processed in the IRAMUTEQ software and analyzed by the Descending Hierarchical Classification, resulting in six classes: Class 1 - The concept of community infection; Class 2 - Knowledge of undergraduates about community infection, acquired in training; Class 3 - The contents related to the community infection in the curriculum of the courses; Class 4 - Prevention and control of community infection; Class 5 - Community infection control techniques; Class 6 - Biosafety measures adopted by health undergraduates. Undergraduates do not have yet a concept of community infection built, necessitating changes in the pedagogical project, with the objective of training professionals with the necessary skills and abilities to prevent and control community infection.
