Enfermeiros coordenadores de cursos de graduação em enfermagem: perfil profissional

Abstract

The aim is to identify the profile of nursing undergraduate coordinators of nursing in the State of São Paulo and reflect on the role exerted by these. This is an exploratory research conducted between the months of August and November 2014 with 44 subject by means of a questionnaire. The coordinators of undergraduate courses in nursing who participated in this study operate primarily in private institutions, are young women, most with graduate school in the strict sense, and a few with pedagogical preparation. Of the total, 54.5% had time to 5-year coordination and 59.1% have only one job. It is concluded that this profile makes it possible to identify the picture of these professionals; can be a success for the solidification of the category and to mediate the quality of the course that are responsible.
