GASTOS PÚBLICOS COM INTERNAÇÕES PARA TRATAMENTO DA COVID-19 NO MARANHÃO EM 2020

Abstract

Objetivo : descrever os gastos públicos com internações para tratamento clínico de usuários internados com Covid-19 pelo SUS no Maranhão, entre março e dezembro de 2020. Materiais e Métodos : estudo descritivo, com dados secundários, coletados do Sistema de Informação. Informações Hospitalares do Sistema Único de Saúde (SIH-SUS), disponíveis no site do Departamento de Informática do SUS (Datasus). Resultados: In the evaluated period, there were 19,150 hospital admissions, 4.9% of which were for the treatment of users with coronavirus. Corresponding to a total expenditure of more than 55 million reais, 83% of which are allocated to hospital services and 15% to professional services. Expenses for the treatment of covid-19 were distributed differently among the regions of the state. The São Luís region had the highest number of hospitalizations, the highest total amount spent, the highest average length of stay in days and the highest fatality rate. Conclusion: The results showed the disparities in terms of hospitalization costs for similar procedures between the regions of Maranhão, highlighting the vulnerability and the need for strategies to reduce differences in access, use and distribution of SUS resources, ensuring equanimity, and considering the unfair inequalities between regions of the state.
