This study aims to identify factors associated with sleep problems in women with cancer, based on data from the 2019 National Health Survey (PNS). It is a cross-sectional study including women who reported at least one of the five most prevalent types of cancer. The dependent variable was the presence of sleep problems in the two weeks prior to the survey. Independent variables included sociodemographic characteristics, use of health services, activity limitations, health perception, lifestyle, and health status. Descriptive statistics and Pearson’s Chi-square test (p<0.05) were used. The prevalence of sleep problems was 44.5%, higher among users of the Brazilian Unified Health System (SUS) and those with poor health perception. Among those who did not use medication to sleep, 65.4% reported altered sleep-wake cycles, fatigue, and a negative perception of their health (61.5%). Significant associations were found between sleep problems, use of health services, fatigue, and health perception, suggesting the need for comprehensive care.
