Comunicação efetiva como estratégia de segurança do paciente na atenção primária

Aimed to demonstrate the importance of effective communication as a strategy of patient safety in primary care. It is an integrative descriptive-exploratory review, with a qualitative approach. After analysis of 10 articles, presented the results and discussions as patient safety is manifested in the primary care and how effective communication contributes to patient safety. Most of the studies were of foreign origin. Being valuable in aid, the action of managers to carry out organizational strategies in order to improve the care of patients in primary health attention. It is concluded that the effective communication is linked to other international patient safety goals and, with regard to research on the subject, are relevant for knowledge of successful experiences and not successful, with the purpose of improving the health care quality and patient safety.
