In order to deepen the academic knowledge about the quality of life of university professors and their influence on the daily aspects of routine, the following guiding question was formulated: What is the scientific evidence about the quality of life of university professors? The search for the articles was done through the Virtual Health Library (VHL), in which the descriptors "quality of life", "university" and "teacher" were used, using the Boolean operator "AND" to conduct the research, covering and contemplating the guiding question and the objects of the present study. The inclusion criteria were: articles published in a chronological interval between 2013 and 2019 in Portuguese, English and Spanish, with full text available, theses, dissertations and articles that did not address the guiding question were excluded. It was concluded that the interventions proposed so far have not brought the necessary impact to develop improvements in the well-being of teachers.
